Typically, if you have multiple devices on the network all streaming and downloading, that can limit the network bandwidth. So would 300 be good enough, or would 1000 be needed. I know the 1000 is the best option, but I don't want to over think that the 300 wouldn't not be sufficient. People thinking they require multi gigabit for a home setup is just marketing at work. A 4k stream is about 25 Mbps. A video conference is 10 at most.
